Not the biggest lake for windsurfing or kiting, but this lake has a few things going for it. 1. No wake/motorboating lake 2. Very open to winds from all directions except the rare west winds. 3. New lake with camping and other facilties, and lots to do that is also good for family and other activities such as hiking or biking the 4 mile trail around, canoeing etc 4. There are sailing areas that will be great for learning windsurfing and kite board, for speed sailing, course racing and general salom sailing. I do not expect to extreme waves like Calamus or Big Mac can get on high winds, but it is only 20 minutes from west Omaha!
